The following examples describe how the services and programs offered by GREENWOOD ASSOCIATES have produced results for clients.
The human resources executive of a manufacturing company was concerned. Many of the supervisors were not adjusting well to the changes in the corporate culture following a recent company buy-out. He feared the tension would result in costly grievances and a significant exodus of employees.
The entire management team participated in a management training program which was custom designed by GREENWOOD ASSOCIATES to enhance staff skills. Topics addressed in the program included:
Participatory management techniques
Skills for improving communication
Conflict resolution
Managing Transitions
The management team learned the skills they needed to become more consistent. This resulted in improved morale, greater employee involvement, no unusual turnover, and improved productivity.
A division vice president was concerned because for the past several months his line managers were bringing him a litany of frustration. They were describing their complaints in one breath and in the next demanding that he fix the problem.
GREENWOOD ASSOCIATES interviewed a number of key players. After analyzing the responses, a two day seminar for major stake holders in the organization was proposed, designed and conducted. The seminar participants examined past and present influences on the organization. They were then able to jointly define a preferred future and possible actions needed to accomplish this vision.
Soon after the seminar, there was a noticeable improvement in team cooperation. Greater enthusiasm was demonstrated. Blaming was reduced and a significant number of actions were begun to implement the common vision.
